A family in Chigwell, Essex is looking for a patient and reliable Live In Carer Companion who can assist and care for a young adult with special care needs. The family wants the Carer to be an emotional and practical support to their loved one. The working hours for this role would be 6 days a week, time off will be discussed in advance, but the family prefers someone who is flexible.

The Carer Companion will be responsible for

• assistance with mobility and some aspects of personal care on occasion
• working closely with the existing wider support team
• cooking - breakfast, lunch, and dinner (also any snacks between meals) and giving out medication
• keeping the home tidy and some general housekeeping duties
• helping with personal grooming
• assisting with bathing
• ensuring the client is comfortable and safe
