A full time live in carer is needed by a lovely family residing in the Leicester area to join them on a temporary basis. The carer will be responsible for implementing all aspects of the client’s support plan as well as helping with the housekeeping and cooking duties. They need someone proactive who will make daily tasks fun and enjoy participating in activities.

They already have a carer that works 7 days on but they need someone who is willing to cover the 7 days off for the next few months or so. Someone who can drive is a bonus but not required.

Working hours: 7 days per week, full time hours. The shift pattern is 7 days on and 7 days off.

Duties include:

• Implementing all aspects of the client’s support plan
• Supporting with social and learning activities
• Being proactive, making the daily tasks fun and promoting independence
• Working in the family home to support the parents/family
• Have a good working knowledge of peg feeding/medication management
• General chores, including tidying, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting and laundry
• Preparing and cooking meals
• Running errands

They are looking for a carer to start on the 3rd week of November. Ideally, someone comfortable around animals since they have a cat.
