We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and skilful Live In Full Time Carer for a family in Barking. They are seeking to hire someone who can be a practical and emotional support to their elderly family member. You will also be tasked to assist the elderly person in the daily routines, accompany them to appointments and events, and make sure that they are always safe and happy. This role will be flexible in terms of working days but ideally 5 to 6 days a week.

You will be responsible for

• organising meals as well as the groceries for the senior client
• organising and taking the senior client to appointments
• helping with laundry and ironing
• changing bed linen and making beds
• assisting with bathing and personal grooming
• helping the senior client manage their budget, pay bills and write letters
• getting to know the senior client and their interests and needs
• giving emotional and practical support to the senior client
• food preparation, feeding and giving out medication
