A family in Southwark, London is looking for a patient and reliable Live In Full Time Carer who can assist an elderly person around the house. The family wants the Carer to be an emotional and practical support to their loved one and ensure that social and medical needs are met using a person-centered approach. The working hours for this role would be a 24/5 cover, from Monday to Friday.

The Carer is responsible for

• organising meals as well as the groceries for the client
• organising and taking the client to appointments
• assisting with bathing and personal grooming
• getting to know the client and their interests and needs
• food preparation, feeding and giving out medication

The Carer is also responsible with some light housekeeping duties such as

• keeping the rooms tidy and organised
• helping with laundry
• shopping for groceries

Someone who has experience with special care needs would be ideal. The family will provide for the Carer a great accommodation, own bedroom and bathroom. They are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
