A family in Cranbrook, Kent is looking for a Live Out Part time Carer to help an elderly person around the house as well as assist the elderly person with day to day activities. The Carer will be required from Monday to Friday, approximately 25 to 30 hours per week. Someone with the flexibility to do additional hours when needed will be ideal for this role.

Duties will include

• organising meals as well as the groceries for the elderly person
• organising and taking the elderly person to appointments
• helping with laundry and ironing
• changing bed linen and making beds
• assisting with bathing and personal grooming
• helping the elderly person manage their budget, pay bills and write letters
• getting to know the elderly person and their interests and needs

Someone who can be calm in every situation is needed for this role. The family is seeking someone who is looking for a long-term placement and someone who knows how to drive as the Carer will accompany the elderly person to occasional doctor's appointments. The family would like the Carer to start in February but they are flexible with the start date for the most suitable candidate.
