A compassionate and dependable temporary full-time live-in carer is sought by a lovely client based in Richmond. The role involves providing assistance to an elderly individual with various tasks within the household.
Working hours: 7 days a week, 12 hours with breaks.
Duties include:
- provide companionship and strive to maintain client's independence
- engaging in meaningful conversations about her interests
- monitor the client's physical and mental condition, adapting care accordingly
- assist with morning and bedtime routines, including personal grooming and hygiene
- prompt and administer medications
- ensuring the client's health needs are met
- spend evening hours with the client, enhancing her well-being through companionship and TV time
- keep the family informed by sending daily updates via WhatsApp
- arrange and accompany the client to appointments and engage her in walking and activities
- plan and organize outings like Sunday cinema trips and occasional visits to Kingston
- facilitate virtual connections by scheduling video calls for the client
- manage household chores, including trash disposal, recycling, and maintaining a clean living environment
- attend to the carer's room, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- assist with room tidying and sorting through belongings
- take care of errands, deal with contractors, and handle finances, including petty cash and receipts
- prepare or assist in preparing evening meals four times a week, promoting a healthy and balanced diet
- manage the pantry and fridge, ensuring they are well-stocked and expired items are removed
- ensure the client has provisions for self-prepared lunches on non-working days
This is a temporary position, and the candidate is expected to commence work from December 22nd through to January 2nd. They require someone who has a valid UK residence permit.
