Guardian Carers joins Hometouch Care: Enhanced support for your family.

A young woman in a grey blazer and yellow sweater sits at an outdoor table playing chess with an elderly woman in a colourful teal and blue patterned cardigan. They're enjoying tea or coffee in a lush garden setting with ivy-covered walls and greenery surrounding them.

Guardian Carers is now part of Hometouch, the UK's leading provider of live-in care. Founded by a former NHS doctor and guided by nursing specialists, Hometouch combines personalised matching with clinical oversight - helping families feel confident that their loved ones are safe, supported and understood.

Whether your family member needs companionship, household help, or requires more specialist support, we're here to help. Hometouch's clinical foundation means we understand care at every stage, even when you're not sure what support you need.

Your Guardian Carer service continues, now with the clinical confidence that comes from doctor-led care.

Our ongoing commitment

Guardian Carers continues with the same commitment to finding the right carer for your loved one. We understand that excellent care starts with understanding both their clinical needs and who they are as a person - their routines, preferences and what brings them comfort each day.

Many families come to us knowing that their loved one needs support, without a clear diagnosis or understanding of what might come next. Our personalised matching approach remains at the heart of what we do. Whether you need light-touch companionship, household support, or more complex care arrangements. We work at a pace that works well for your family. This expertise is now strengthened by clinical oversight from specialists who understand how care needs evolve.

What your family now gains with Hometouch

As part of Hometouch Care, families can now benefit from clinical expertise that transforms how care is delivered and managed.

Doctor-founded expertise in dementia care

Should your care needs include dementia or Alzheimer's support, you now have access to Hometouch's expertise. Founded by a dementia doctor and guided by nursing specialists, this clinical foundation is available to families who need it. Many families start with basic support and find reassurance knowing that medical guidance is available as situations develop.

Our team understands the early signs that might indicate changing needs. Even if your loved one only needs companionship today, we can recognise when care requirements might be evolving and provide guidance without alarm or pressure.

Specialist-trained carers for all situations

Your matching options now extend to Hometouch's network of carers who receive comprehensive dementia training from our clinical team. Whether you need someone who simply understands how to support an older person with dignity, or specialist knowledge of conditions like dementia, we find a carer who clicks with your loved one's personality.

Our carers receive training across multiple areas - from post-surgical support to conditions like Parkinson's and multiple sclerosis, as well as comprehensive dementia care.

Clinical oversight that evolves with your needs

Care needs often change, especially with dementia. Our clinical managers provide ongoing assessments and support, adjusting care plans without disruption. You're not managing this alone.

Expert Care for every stage

We support families whether they need companionship, household support, post-surgical care or specialist assistance with diagnosed conditions. Our clinical team creates a custom care plan designed around your loved one's specific situation. We recognise that sometimes the need is for reassuring company and practical help.

We find a carer who clicks with their personality while providing the right level of expertise for today's needs, with the confidence that we can scale support if circumstances change.

Flexible Payment & Service Options

We understand families have different preferences for managing care arrangements. That's why we offer two straightforward options.

Direct employment option

Pay a one-off recruitment fee and become the carer's direct employer. We'll source, introduce and support you through the vetting process, then you take responsibility for ongoing wages and employment obligations. This approach suits families who prefer direct control over the care relationship.

Fully managed care

We handle everything through a weekly fee that covers carer wages, employment obligations and ongoing support. Our clinical team provides account management, arranges cover when your carer is unavailable, and can introduce new carers if your needs change. There are no long-term commitments - care adapts as your situation evolves.

This fully managed approach gives families confidence in their care arrangements. You receive ongoing clinical oversight and practical support, allowing you to focus on your loved one rather than administrative details.

Both options ensure you receive the same high standard of carer matching and clinical guidance that defines our approach to care.

About Hometouch

Hometouch has built a reputation as one of the UK's leading providers of clinical dementia care at home, supporting families through some of their most challenging decisions.

Expertise families trust

Founded by a dementia doctor, our approach combines medical knowledge with compassionate support. Over 1,000 families trust us with their most important care decisions, and we deliver more than 50,000 hours of specialist care each month.

Dementia care specialists, not general carers

Every carer receives comprehensive dementia training from our clinical team. This is specialist education that means carers understand how dementia affects daily life and how to maintain dignity and independence for as long as possible.

Round-the-clock clinical support

Our clinical team provides 24/7 support, 365 days a year. Whether you need guidance during a difficult evening or reassurance that care is going well, expert help is always available when families need it most.

Carers who stay because they're valued

We pay carers above the industry average. This investment in our care team means more stability and continuity for your loved one.
