A domestic couple position has become available in West Sussex where the candidate will be mainly in charge of assisting an elderly person with many elements of their daily routine. This is a full time live housekeeper carer role. We are seeking a driver proficient in both automatic and manual vehicles.

Working hours: Friday to Tuesday (5 days) with Wednesday and Thursday designated as days off. Availability spans from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm, providing flexibility within those hours.

Duties include:

• ensure the client's safety and comfort to an appropriate level, maintaining awareness of hydration needs
• accompany the client on short walks, visits to garden centers, shops, and events, as needed
• assist with personal care upon reasonable request
• support the daily schedule as required
• manage incoming calls, take messages, and handle deliveries
• run daily errands as necessary
• supervise cleaning staff to ensure the house remains clean, tidy, and organized, which may involve dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies
• make beds and ensure rooms are clean and comfortable, including changing bed linens and towels as needed
• set alarms when leaving the property
• monitor maintenance issues
• maintain and upkeep the courtyard area
• ensure an adequate supply of logs for fires
• manage fireplace cleaning and lighting during colder weather
• perform simple DIY tasks as needed
• prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and provide refreshments throughout the day as required
• cater for occasional small lunch or dinner parties
• purchase weekly groceries, unpack, and store items
• maintaining fridge/freezer and cupboard hygiene
• serve guests when the principal hosts gatherings

They require someone who has a valid UK residence permit. The ideal start date for this position will be on the 15th of May.
