A lovely family in Hove, East Sussex seeks a full time live in carer who can assist their elderly loved one with daily routines and activities. They want someone who takes initiative and will continue to assist the elderly client in living independently. The candidate is expected to work for 6 months in a temporary role.

It is also essential that the carer has a good sense of humour and willing to do fun activities with the client such as gardening, painting a bench or any other hobbies.

Working hours: 5 to 7 days per week, 12 hours a day including breaks (flexibility needed)

Duties include:

• General care duties
• Personal Care
• Prepare meals
• Shopping and running errands
• Accompanying client on outings
• Encouraging and engaging with the client to do activities
• Medication prompting
• Keeping the home tidy (client does have a cleaner that comes once a week)
• Ensure client is safe and comfortable
• Keep family informed about client
• Keeping an eye on medication delivery ( and return of medication boxes)

The family is keen to have a non smoker candidate who can start in the last week of September.
