Full Time Elderly Carer in Watford

Salary: £130 to 160 per day

A full-time elderly caregiver is required in Watford to aid an elderly individual with personal care, daily routines, and housekeeping tasks. Preferably seeking a live-out arrangement, though open to live-in but with a preference for live-out.The candidate must possess a valid driver's license and be open to traveling to Portugal and the USA.

Working hours: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, for 8 hours per day. On 2 days, the hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and on 3 days, the hours are 12 pm to 8 pm.

Duties include:

  • general care duties, encompassing personal care, moving and handling, dressing, washing, and hair/nail care
  • administration of medication to manage epilepsy
  • providing companionship
  • ensuring the client's constant safety and comfort
  • engaging in stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors, including play, park visits, and swimming
  • driving the client to/from school and appointments
  • collaborating with the cleaner to maintain main living spaces, therapy/playroom, and the client's bedroom
  • assisting with laundry, uniforms, and food shopping, especially for the client's special diet
  • managing the client's diary, appointments, and communication with doctors and school
  • bulk preparation of meals
  • ensuring the client is hydrated, including snacks
  • family travels to Europe and the USA, with approximately 1-2 weeks of travel per year

They client is keen to hire on the 27th of November. They require someone who has a valid UK residence permit.
