Our elderly client in Deal is in search of a German-speaking live-in carer on a full-time basis to aid with mobility and provide assistance, facilitating the client in performing daily routines more comfortably. Having a driver's capability would be an additional advantage.

Working hours: 5-7 days a week, 12 hours a day, with varying intensities. It's a full-time role, with periods of more intense work, including overnights, and others with lighter duties. The client splits time between Germany and Greece, making the role UK-based for 6 months and Germany/Greece-based for another 6 months, with breaks.

Duties include:

• ensure daily showering and personal hygiene.
• monitor and assist with daily medication and hydration.
• accompany and engage in local walks or excursions, considering his love for buying newspapers.
• offer leisure activities like chess or backgammon.
• assist in making phone calls to family, ensuring the phone is charged and accessible.
• accompany to appointments such as the hairdresser, doctor, dentist, and chiropodist.
• travel support when family members are unavailable.
• organize clean clothes and change bed sheets weekly.
• assist with simple grocery shopping if needed.
• provide general support with housekeeping and relay information about visits (e.g., plumber).
• facilitate meal times, ensuring safety with appliances and helping with Austrian/German cooking preferences.

They require someone who has a valid UK residence permit. The client is looking for someone to start on March 4th.
