Our lovely elderly client in Southampton is currently looking for a full-time live-in carer, someone who is passionate, diligent and is able to assist the client with the daily routines and ensure that the client is always safe, happy and comfortable. The carer must also sleep at the home on Saturday and Sunday night to administer her medication on the Sunday. Someone who can drive is ideal.

Working hours: 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, 12 hours a day with breaks.

Duties include:

• administer morning and evening medication, even on the caregiver's day off
• monitor medication supply and order more when needed from the chemist
• provide companionship
• ensure the client's safety and comfort at all times
• accompany the client to local outings, appointments, and occasional lunches, including visits to Waitrose
• perform light housekeeping tasks
• maintaining a clean home
• taking laundry to the laundrette
• changing bed sheets once a week
• managing dishwashing
• prepare meals as required and serve them to the client on a tray

The ideal start date for this position will be on November 20th. They require someone who has a valid UK residence permit.
