A Berwick-upon-Tweed-based client is looking for a reliable live-out full-time Senior Carer who can provide assistance and support in a client-centred approach.

Working hours: 40 hours over a week (rota) - Nights

Duties include:

• learn administrative functions to operate the home during the Manager's absence
• assess clients' needs and preferences, contributing to care plan creation
• collaborate with Care Managers, GP’s, families, etc., as needed
• assume responsibility for the home when the Manager is absent
• manage the ordering, storage, recording, and administration of prescribed medications in compliance with legislation
• participate in the induction and ongoing training of care staff
• ensure all staff deliver a high standard of care under your supervision
• adhere to and ensure adherence to all policies and procedures
• ensure compliance with all National Care Standards
• accurately record all relevant information
• manage staff time effectively, ensuring appropriate allocation of tasks
• undertake necessary training to meet company policy and legislation
• report staff problems and participate in disciplinary procedures if required
• conduct allocated staff supervision sessions, reporting training needs and concerns to the Deputy Manager and Manager
• maintain complete confidentiality at all times
• perform any other duties as requested by the home's Manager

They require someone who has a valid UK residence permit. The ideal start date for this position is on February 26th.
