A part time live out carer is needed by a senior client based in Hammersmith to assist with many elements of their daily routine and provide companionship. Someone experienced and qualified carer with a specialism in caring for and supporting an elderly person with dementia.

They are ideally looking for a male carer if possible. Someone experienced and comfortable in working with people from the LGBT communities.

Working hours: 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday, flexible start time

Duties include:

• laundry and ironing
• preparing meals
• cleaning and tidying the home
• watering plants
• watch tv or film (DVD) with the client
• helping to feed the cat
• running errands such as grocery shopping
• taking the client to hair dressers or podiatrist
• going on short walks for a coffee or to park
• going to cinema once every few weeks
• organising any fun and appropriate activities
• changing bed linen
• taking the client to church once a month

A carer who can drive and owns a car would be a bonus. They need someone to start as soon as possible.
