A senior client based in Hertfordshire is looking for a part time carer to provide companionship and assist with their daily tasks. The ideal candidate would be someone who is warm, compassionate, patient, and flexible as they may need to take extra responsibility when the family is away. Someone who can drive would be a bonus.

Working hours: 3 to 4 days a week, 4 hours in the afternoon 3 to 7pm

Duties include:

• administering the clients daily aspirin and inhaler
• providing companionship
• ensuring the client is safe and comfortable
• occasionally managing incontinence and incidents by checking and washing the bedding and sofa cushions if required
• laying out the clients clothes for the following day and assisting with dressing if needed
• supervise attendance of chiropodist, podiatrist, barber, physio and others as required
• general housekeeping duties to keep the home environment clean and tidy
• regular cleaning of bathrooms, wcs and kitchen
• washing, ironing and putting away clothes and bedding
• doing ad-hoc shopping for supplies as required.
• preparing and/or cooking nutritious and tasty meals and snacks
• ensure the client is also hydrated and drinks regularly

They need someone to start on the 20th of June.
