A senior client based in Hertfordshire is looking for a part time live out housekeeper carer cook who can provide companionship, ensure client is safe and comfortable and run the home. The ideal candidate would be someone who is warm, compassionate, patient, and flexible as they may need to take extra responsibility when the family is away.

Working hours: Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays 3pm to 7pm

Duties include:

• administering the clients daily aspirin and inhaler -providing companionship
• ensuring the client is safe and comfortable
• occasionally managing incontinence and incidents by checking and washing the bedding and sofa cushions if required
• laying out the client's clothes for the following day and assisting with dressing if needed
• supervise attendance of chiropodist, podiatrist, barber, physio and others as required
• general housekeeping duties to keep the home environment clean and tidy
• regular cleaning of bathrooms, wcs and kitchen
• washing, ironing and putting away clothes and bedding
• doing ad-hoc shopping for supplies as required
• preparing and/or cooking nutritious and tasty meals and snacks
• ensure the client is also hydrated and drinks regularly
