We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Registered Nurse / Clinical Lead to join our team! In this exciting role, you'll assist the Head of Care in leading and managing our clinical team, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care.

You'll have the opportunity to oversee clinical practices, provide essential guidance and training to nursing staff, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. What's more, you'll work hands-on as a nurse on the floor, leading by example and offering support to other RNs, with dedicated supernumerary time allocated as needed.

2. Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

  • Registered Nurse with a active NMC PIN.
  • Degree in Adult Nursing.

Experience:

  • Experience within a nursing home or similar setting.
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience in delivering preceptorship program.
  • Experience in delivering clinical training.

Skills:

  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge, with evidence of clinical competencies and CDP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare management software.

3. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership: The Senior Registered Nurse / Clinical Lead will understand and disseminate our clinical policies and procedures, to lead by example while providing clinical expertise and guidance to staff and be competent to sign off on clinical competencies to ensure the nursing team delivers high standards of care. This role also involves supervising and supporting nursing and care staff, conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, identifying and delivering training needs, and coordinating professional development opportunities.

Care Planning and Assessment: To oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans, ensuring that personalised care plans are regularly updated to meet residents’ needs. This role involves delegating tasks and monitoring their completion, as well as consistently reviewing residents’ progress and health outcomes.

2. Compliance and Quality Assurance: To ensure compliance with CQC standards and other regulatory requirements. This role includes conducting regular audits and quality assurance checks to support the Head of Care, and collaborating with the Head of Care to implement action plans that address identified issues. Following the companies quality assurance program to identify issues, take action, and drive improvements.

3. Clinical Governance: To participate in clinical governance activities, including incident reporting and management, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning. This role also ensures that clinical documentation is accurate and up to date.

4. Medication Management: To oversee medication administration and management, ensuring the safe storage and handling of medications. Additionally, this role involves conducting regular medication audits to maintain high standards of safety and compliance.

5. Health and Safety: The Senior Registered Nurse / Clinical Lead plays a crucial role in promoting and maintaining a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This includes ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and policies, conducting thorough risk assessments, and effectively managing infection control procedures to minimize risks and safeguard the well-being of all individuals within the nursing home.
