A senior client in Reading seeks a full time live in carer to help their elderly relative move around the house in a temporary role. The client is still very independent and mainly needs help in preparing meals and doing some general care routines.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, up to 10 hours per day including breaks

Duties include:

• assist in preparing meals and snacks
• organising and taking the elderly person to appointments
• helping with laundry and ironing
• changing bed linen and making beds
• assisting with bathing and personal grooming
• managing the client's daily budget
• getting to know the elderly person and their interests and needs
• ensuring the client is safe and comfortable

They require someone who has a valid UK Residence Permit. This is for temporary role and the candidate is expected to work for 2 weeks starting on January 13 to 26, 2025.
