Companions for elderly parents

Guardian Carers provides premium services aimed at elderly parents. Loneliness is one of the main causes that affects the quality of life, especially among seniors, who may be going through a more sensitive period in their life. Many elders are simply looking for someone to chat to. That is because their families may be away from them, living busy lives or sometimes it may be due to a recent bereavement. Loneliness can be prevented with the help of elderly companions.

Some of the services we offer at Guardian Carers are simply for companionship. But there are many facets to this duty. As previously stated, we can provide people simply for company, but also people that can do a little extra. This can mean anything from light cleaning to more complex duties. Some of the elderly companions that we provide are equipped to carry out a variety of duties.

f you only need someone to offer some support with your daily activities, we can provide you with a live out companion. They can come to your home during the day and do some household chores, such as preparing meals, dusting or changing bedsheets, among others. Some companions are equipped with drivers’ license, so if you need to get around and want to avoid public transportation, you can let us know and we will sort it for you.

If your needs are more involved and you require some more help getting around, another option we offer is choosing a live-in companion. Live-in elderly companions have a more hands-on approach. They are equipped to deal with more complicated chores and of course, be ‘on call’ for you at any time.

Live-in companions must have their own bedroom within your home. As well as that, they must be able to prepare their own meals. Remember though that an elderly companion will not be able to provide personal care the same way that a trained medical professional would. They are simply there to help support you every day and do the chores that you may not be able to carry out anymore.
