A caring and understanding senior carer is needed to lead the team of care assistants and train new staff. The senior carer must have an attentive ear and excellent communication skills. The following are required for this position: Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care, GCSE in English & Maths and Care Certificate.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week on a rota based schedule

Duties include:

• Lead the team of care assistants they are responsible for and train new staff
• Have ownership of the care plan, including the creation of the care plan and its delivery
• Monitor general health and vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure
• Communicate with families about their relative’s progress
• Deliver activities to stimulate and engage older people
• Fill in medication reports
• Assist older people in dressing, washing and using the bathroom
• Serve meals and assist with feeding when required

They require someone who has a valid UK residence permit. They are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
