A proactive and dependable temporary part-time live-out carer is required in Rickmansworth to assist an elderly individual with mobility and certain aspects of personal care. Possessing a driver's license would be advantageous.

Working hours: Shift is 9:30 am to 9:30 pm (possibly starting at 8:30 am to observe the previous carer for an hour)

Duties include:

• assisting clients with personal care, including grooming, washing, and maintaining hygiene standards.
• preparing and serving nutritious meals, considering any special dietary needs and personal preferences.
• identifying and organizing stimulating activities for patients to enhance their well-being.
• contributing to a clean and organized environment for all patients, with an emphasis on creating a pleasant atmosphere. writing messages and using hand gestures, or familiarity with basic or advanced sign language, particularly beneficial for communication with a deaf client. collaborating with an experienced colleague who manages light housework and provides transportation, including driving the client locally. confident driving skills required, especially for weekend trips to visit family; a car is provided during working hours.
• willingness to learn basic sign language from the deaf client and engage in meaningful conversations.
• keeping the home organized, clean, and tidy, including managing laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organization.
• running errands and coordinating household tasks to ensure a well-functioning home.
• cooking nutritious and appealing meals to stimulate the client's appetite and enjoying meals together.
• walking and feeding a Yorkshire Terrier, contributing to the overall care of the client and her pet

The ideal start and end date for this role is November 27, 2023. They require someone who has a valid UK residence permit.
